Aaron Judge praises Boston fans, fails to deny he could play for Red Sox next season

Perhaps Aaron Judge didn't fully grasp the extent of the rivalry between the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox when he responded to questions last Tuesday. But then again, perhaps his team also misses the level of history-making he is doing right now as he chases a historic record. If Aaron Judge doesn't clarify what he meant soon, New York Yankee fans will never forgive him for saying what he said.

But more importantly, the entire city will never forgive him if he ends up playing for the Boston Red Sox. For Judge, all that matters right now is getting that record and try to reach the players who got more than 70 homers in a single season. That one seems impossible right now but anything can happen.

Judge praises Red Sox fans

After getting his home runs No. 56 and 57 at Fenway Park, reporters directly asked Aaron Judge if he would ever play for the Boston team. Before the answered he gave, everything was okay but alarms set off when he responded. This is what Judge said: "We'll talk about that at the end of the year. It's the best, Boston fans are some of the best in baseball.

"They're going to boo you, they're going to say some things, they're going to make you laugh. It's all part of it. A lot of great history here, and this is one of the best places to play, so it's always fun going out there and trying to put on a show for them."

The problem here is that if he doesn't reach an agreement by the end of the season, Aaron Judge will become a free agent during the off-season. If this happens, imagine he gets that Roger Maris record and then, he can ask what ever he wants. Only a few MLB teams have the money and the infrastructure to attract Judge.

One of those teams is definitely the Boston Red Sox. The question here is: Would Aaron Judge dare betray the New York Yankees by becoming a Red Sox player? Come the next off-season, we will definitely find out.
